You name the tone: humorous or straight-faced. Asking rate of at least 12 cents per word for content only. 15-20 cents for creating and publishing content.

Consider this a catch-all for the other types of content you may need. Maybe a humorous blog post about doctor visits? A perspective piece about personal experiences? If I don't need to cite sources or complete research, the rate is lower than other content. Asking rate of at least 10 cents per word for content only.

Copyediting and Line Edits
Line Edits look at paragraph and sentence flow. Are you using too many repetitive words? Or is the repetition working for you?
Copyediting looks at grammar and punctuation.
These edits can be combined.
Free sample edits are available for longer projects, and we can negotiate a rate once we've discussed the project's scope.
I have a degree in education. I taught grammar and punctuation. I have also become a scholar of the Chicago Manual of Style.
Recap of Rates
Content Projects over 500 words will require a deposit of at least 50% of the total fees. The rest of the fees will be due upon completion.
For content that requires research and cited sources, I charge a minimum of 12 cents per word for content only, with higher rates for design and publishing.
For content that doesn't require research, I typically charge 10 cents per word as the base price for content only.
Alternatively, you may choose to pay a lump sum negotiated based on the scope of the project.
Editing projects will be negotiated as a lump sum price after I have provided a free sample edit for you and we have agreed on the scope of the editing needed.
